NOTICE TO MARINERS. BACKSTAIRS PASSAGE: Yatala Shoal. Masters of vessels and others are hereby informed that a buoy with a spherical top. surmounted by a half-globe, round side up, and painted red and white (hoi'izontal bands), has been jilaced in five (5) fathoms L.M .8. on the aSl.W. side of the Yatala Shoal, Appro^ ximate position—Lat.,35° 44' 15" S.; Long., 138^ 10'E, ARTHUR SEARCY,President of the Maline Board, ^larine Board Offices, Port Adelaide, October 5. 1906, SPENCER GULF: Corny Point Lighthouse— Alteration of Light. Notice is hereby given that it is intended, on or about the 1st Januar^'^, 1907, to alter the characteristics of the above light in the following respects;— Instead of the light being obscui'ed over the Webb Rock and thence inshore as at present, a red sector will be shown over this arc, i.e., between the bearing of N.E. •2 E. and N.E,by N.^ N., where it is shut in by the first point to the southward of the lighthouse.
