PAE Today

, our exciting

new look Council newsletter. It

contains the latest news about

our PAE community, plus the projects underway

and programs on offer here, and is available in

both print and online formats.

We have been busy focussing on a number

of environmental initiatives to make sure you

can enjoy our open spaces even more as the

weather warms up for Spring.

With over 7,000 native shrubs, grasses and

trees planted in Pitman Park, Roy Amer Reserve

and Thomas Turner Reserve duringWinter, we

have been improving biodiversity and creating

homes to attract native fauna to these areas.

The Lights Community and Sports Stadium has

been a major investment for PAE over the last

three years. In October we will bring to fruition

our commitment to create an inclusive and

accessible space for the people of Lightsview

and beyond.

We have also completed a major upgrade of the

velodrome at Hanson Reserve, to build a facility

for local cycling clubs and the wider community,

so head there in November for an open day,

which will really get HansonVelodrome into top

gear.

We have had a new community garden ‘spring’

up in Greenacres, which was established

through a Fund my Neighbourhood Grant. It

will be wonderful to see this garden grow over

time with nurture from the community.

To ensure that you get the most of living,

working, studying and caring for others in PAE,

we offer regular opportunities to have your

say about what is important to you, and how

we can cater for your needs. Please find more

details on Page 6 and make sure to follow

@CityofPAE on social media.

Getting out and enjoying nature can make a real

difference to how we feel. With the warmer

weather on the way, it is a fantastic time to

get out and be active in the gardens, parks and

open spaces across the City of PAE.
