season (a])art from the huge number of ])eople who make
daily visits) eleven large picnics from districts attached
to the following country centres have journeyed to the
Semaphore: Auburn. Tarlee. Clare, Morgan, Aldgate,
Eudunda,»Wasleys, .A.ngaston. Tanunda, Nuriootpa, and
Gawler: appro.ximately 10,000 folks from these centres
have attended. It was my duty and pleasure to welcome
each picnic, and to place the Council's equipment at the
visitors' disposal. Everything was done to make the
visits enjoyable, and the beach officer was in attendance
on each occasion.
