of service. We have not to travel 10 miles from Port
Adelaide to see buildings of an ornate design and most
modern in equipment. The citizens' request now extends
over many years, and possibly by the end of next term
we may hope for some relief.
HOSPITAL.
From time to time deputations have waited on the
Governments of the day in regard to a new Hospital
for Port Adelaide. Recently a strong committee was
formed, which again waited on the Government in refer
ence to this long-felt want: no definite reply has been
received, but the committee are following up the matter,
and will again approach the Government at an early
date.

ALEXANDRA.

DEPARTURE OF AGENT-GENERAL.
On the 21st April it was my pleasing duty to extend
to exWldennan J. Price a civic farewell, prior to his
departure for London to take up the duties of Agent-
General for South Australia.
ARRIVAL OF MARCHESSE DE PINEDO.
Marchesse De Pinedo and liis mechanic (Ernesto
Campanelli) arrived by seaplane at the Outer Harbor
from Rome on 8th June. A huge gathering was present
to receive him. Aftcn-wards a civic welcome was extended
the intrepid airmen at the Port Adelaide Town Hall.
