Last year's total was 52, a decrease of 15.

During the year 7 patients were reported to have

sufficiently recovered to be classified as non-infectious.

Total number of persons residing within the City on

30/11/25, and reported to be suffering from Pulmonary

Tuberculosis was 58.

ENTERIC FEVER.

No cases were reported for the twelve months end

ing 30/9/1925.

IMPORTED CASES.

Included in this year's total are the following im

ported cases;—

From vessels.—Phthisis 2; Measles 1; Malaria 1;

Anthrax 1. Total 5.

Each of these cases was accommodated within the

City immediately after leaving the vessel, and with the

exception of the case of Measles was subsequently re

moved to Hospital.

From other districts.—Phthisis 7; Scarlatina 1.

Total 8.

HOSPITAL CASES.

The following cases were removed to Hospital:—

Diptheria 18 (including a family of 8, 4 of whom

were contacts); Measles 10; Phthisis 9; Scarlatina 6;

Erysipelas 6; Puerperal Septicaemia 2; Whooping

Cough 1; Chickenpox 1; Malaria 1; Anthrax 1; Cerebro

Spinal Meningitis 1; Infantile Paralysis 1. Total 57.
