RAT DESTRUCTION.

The Ratcatcher (Mr. J. Hannaford) reports for the

year as follows.

All rars caught appeared to be in a healthy condi

tion. 28 dozen Ijottles of rat poison were issued free of

charge.

REPORTS.

Chief-Inspector Wilson reports as follows:—

1,259 inspections have been made.

263 notices have been served.

224 notices have been complied with.

4S3 building applications have been dealt with.

538 inspections have been made of buildings in

course of erection.

14 Rooms have been disinfected.

15 cases of infectious disease have been

\-isitcd.

S'stor Tail reports as follows:—

1,159 visits were made to cases of infectious

disease.

25 visits were made to schools.

126 rooms were disinfected.

The following specimens were forwarded to the

Adelaide Hospital for examination:—

142 throat and nasal swabs where Diptheria

was suspected, and in 11 cases Diptheria

Bacilli were detected.

25 specimens of sputum in 7 of which Tub

ercle Bacilli were present.
